Reflective Charm?

I'm almost positive I've read of some ability somewhere that made it so charm spells cast on you reflected back and actually affected the caster (making them charmed instead). I can't remember if this was some feat, spell, magical item, or even Prestige Class ability, but I could have sworn it was out there. Is this just the mad raving of my imagination, or does such an ability truly exist? (if yes, could you tell me the book too?)

Thanks for the help! :)

Spell Turning...

IIRC in the EXAMPLE for spell turning, they have the person with spell turning charming the caster. However, by a strict reading of the charm person spell, the caster is merely charmed by himself, and no harm results.

Actually, I think that example is in the Occult Slayer prestige class. It may be in the PHB, but I don't recall it.

In fact there could be some benefit to charming oneself - primarily that you would get an opposed charisma roll against anyone else who charmed you.

I think this shows quite clearly what would happen.

Nor do you use your ability score and feats to determine the DC. However, upon turning the magic missile, the spell is effectively coming from you, just like with the charm, regardless of what factors are used in the spell. Nothing says caster level. This should be evident when you consider the case where both casters have spell turning.

Right. So why am I suddenly the caster?

Which has nothing to do with anything, really.
