Yeah, I've posted that a few days ago, I'm hoping for several things...

It's atleast PG13 (one can only hope for R) not PG
The Background isn't Computer Generated (i'm old school).
and NO MUSICALS

oh, and it's as good, if not better, than South Parks: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. because most movies made from Television (or for that much, cartoons) suck.

Oops :)

SP: BLU was incredible, EVEN if it was mostly musicals. I don't think I ever laughed as much as I did during the Uncle [blip]er song. It was a great parody, and a great movie all together.

As for the Simpsons, it's still a long way to go, and its biggest problem, IMO, is the fact that they have more than 300 episodes behind them. Is there enough juice left for a 90 minute movie?

Oh well, we'll see.

It ain't going to happen, but I'd kill for a Futurama movie.

simpsons movie in 2006?!?! but i want it now!!!

i hope they keep the same art that they've used in the tv series.

musical, only if it's simpson's original. the short musical numbers they have done in the series have been great. but not too many, maybe 1 or 2. 3 would be pushing it.

need to keep the story of the tv series there. not try something completely different in the movie.

[screams hysterically]

Why?! Why won't they just let it die?! For the love of God, let those cold-hearted executives show some decency and let it die!

[curls into fetal position]

I miss Futurama.

I'm very skeptical about this. When something like this happens, the movie can either make or break the television series (of course, at this point, it really doesn't matter, since the Simpsons have already established such a reputation that's hard to match). I have no doubt, however, that the Simpsons have enough fuel to fill a feature length film, but the audience could take a different reaction. I also have no doubt that the movie will have musical numbers in it and will be aimed for a PG-13 rating, but those are my guesses.

The only sad thing I can think of is there will be no Phil Hartman in it. In my mind, whenever I watch Futurama, I replace Billy West's voice with Phil's when Zapp Brannigan is on screen.

Ah, yes: Zapp Brannigan. He was always the Troy McClure of Futurama. I love that show, too...

I'm in Phil's hometown, you know?

this is directed to everyone

What's with the assumption that it will be a musical?
