Rejoice! [or not]: Simpsons on the Big Screen in 2006

(My personal opinion)

What's with the assumption that it will be a musical?
I think that assumption comes from the numerous episodes in the last several seasons in which the "cast" bursts into not-very-funny song.

Oh, great. Another animated series is going to get a big-screen treatment and you know what that means. Instead of being the current 2-dimensional with vibrant colors, they're gonna get those perspective shadowing to make it more 3-dimensional, and toned-down colors.

Talk about cruel and unusual punishment for Americans.

I don't recall them being all that numerous, and I'd likely lay the blame at Disney's feet.

ehhh.... seems like the simpsons jumped the shark a couple years ago. i don't even go out of my way to watch it on sundays anymore.

now king of the hill on the other hand...

Unfortunately I agree 100% (well fortunatley in the case of KoTH lol).

I'd be much happier if Futurama made it to the big screen. The opening always screamed MOVIE to me. :)
