What are the best set of supers rules to add a super hero element to a d20 modern campain? I am wanting to run a super hero origin campaign where the PCs begin as normals and progress from low powered to high powered heroes. I own the original 4 Colors to Fantasy .pdf, but I am wondering if there is anything better out there. I really liked the setting and feel of the old White Wolf Aberrent game, but I never actually played it. Has anyone looked throught the d20 Aberrant game yet?

You've described exactly the game we've been playing (chronicled here). We've been using Blood and Vigilance and loving it. I admit I was a bit confused at first at how everything works, but with a little work it becomes clear. Not to mention the author is available on these boards for any questions.

M&M can do that, but as the GM you will have to take a close look at character creation.

The point is, normal M&M characters start at 10th level, but the rules go as low as 1st level.

You can use all points on attributes, skills, feats and build a perfectly normal character (probably best to keep the D&D distribution of feats, skill points, etc in mind, when doing so, as M&M sets no limits on how many points you spend on which part of your character).

You can also add in powers slowly and improve them rank by rank over time.

So, at least the building of superpowers could be done pretty well there.

Unfortunately M&M is different enough from D20M that using it as an add-on for a Modern campaign is going to be a good bit harder than using the products specifically designed to do so.

I was more thinking of using it from the beginning, but as an add-on, it's probably too different, right. :)

Just wanted to echo the call for Blood and Vigilance. I was the GM for the game Pierce described above, and I can't stress just how seamless BnV fits over the top of d20 Modern; nothing in it requires breaking or re-writing anything in modern IMO, which is why we first chose it.

It is also written very clear, concise, and easy to work with. Even Pierce's mentioned confusion was extrememly short-lived once we just discussed it for a little bit in-group.

The other products mentioned are all very good and similar in many ways, but IMO BnV fits on top of d20 Modern the best and is easiest to learn, and is also quite reasonably priced in PDF.
