I would think that WotC would try as much as possible to get the books to stores before release day. Maybe not later releases, but certainly the core books.

Actually I forgot I had the day as well as the month for most of them.

Games Plus also plans a midnight sale. This is also a tentative plan, which cannot be confirmed until the product reaches the store, which will probably be in the afternoon of the 5th.
