Philosophical Taoism is based on the Tao Te Ching written by Lao Tsu, and nothing more.

With Religious Taoism, you have many deities and much mysticism involved with the simple philosophy.

And with Reform Taoism, you have a mystical Force which binds the universe together, a Dark Side, and really cool sword fights with lightsabers.

Oh, and also look for Philosophies and Falsehoods from Silicon Phoenix Gaming, which'll definately have a few rules for making your character a non-believer in the power of gods, who can actually laugh at clerics and walk away unscathed.

"Heh. You call those gods? I call them pompous windbags with heads far to big for their own benefit?"

*a lightning bolt strikes a few feet from the speaker*

"See? They can't even aim a decent bolt o'smitin' power! Might as well be powerful wizards, for all we know!"
