and good ideas IMHO... thought about that too.

Sometimes minimums are a lot better than trying to encourage and discourage things by adding fiddly rules (like 1,5 times strength modifier for twohanded weapons)

Maybe I would not make all dx weapons only usable by people of str 13+, but instead would make some broader categories... but maybe this is again a more fiddly rule that gets broken in later supplements...

How about this?
Your ability score will only add +1 to +3 to your attack roll.

Feats spells magic could total to 3
Ability 1 to 3
Sit combat mods 1 to 3
Max +9 total to attack bonus
