You're a baaaaaaad man.

On subject: I find myself often eagerly awaiting the next OOTS. Both for the (admittedly, sometimes cringe-worthy) joke and the story. IMO, Rich has really turned it into a neat, interesting story.

Though I want to see more of Xykon, Redcloak and the Monster. Definitely more fun to me! :D

Hate to horn in on a topic, but i can hardly wait to see the next OOTS! Mabey Rich broke the law and is on the lamb?

I love webcomics (including OOTS), but I have the most difficult time with the following:

As soon as I discover one I like, I read it from the beginning to the current comic, very quickly. But then at that point, with the nature of the release schedule, even if it's relatively quick, the story loses momentum in my mind. Or I forget a lot of plot points. Makes me sad.

I like OOTS, but due to its sporadic release schedule, I tend to also be a sporadic reader.

I'll usually check up about once a month and read whatever has been released at that time. Then, whether I get 5 or 15 comics, I'm pretty happy.

I'm so sporadic I didn't even know for sure it was still being written... :)

Me too.

I'm very grateful for what we have ... but it doesn't seem like enough to keep an active readership. It has averaged barely one update a week for 2011. There aren't even advertisements on the site, and I can't see it making much money solely on (rather limited) merchandise. Not many webcomics maintain readership with "Random" as an update schedule.

I know at one point Burlew announced delays due to persistent health issues... I hope those things are behind him now.

I discovered Order of the Stick about two years ago and loved it. Interestingly, I only started playing RPGs a year and a half ago. Granted, I had some familiarity with them from a bit of dabbling about nine years ago, but I became an actual gamer AFTER I got into OotS. To me, that says very good things about the quality of the strip.

Remember when OotS was updated three times/week?

Well, I remember when it was updated two times a week, Monday and Thursday. It was fun seeing it dominate buzz comics, but I guess increasing its frequency didn't help the quality. Drama is a lot easier to sustain than comedy.
I stopped reading it a while ago. I stopped finding it funny much earlier.

I've never understood the attraction. I don't find it funny, well drawn or particularly clever. One more thing to put down to the sheep mentality of human-beings.

Or that other people have a different sense of humour to you, along with a basic grasp of the concept of politeness?

The release schedule does seem to have slowed down a lot recently. I am glad this it still continues though, however infrequent that may be.

Wow, threadcrapping AND blanket insulting of lots of board members? Time for for a short holiday to consider your posting style I think.

I think this has been dealt with by a moderator and it should be mentioned on a civil level of member to member that, on a personal humble opinion, we may want to leave this be.
