This is madness. He actually suggests that Jackson named the movie after the WTC.

The most absurd bit is that the petitiononline.com site lists 3597 signatures. The first time I read it, I thought "Whoa! 3597, how is it possible?"

But if you ask it to list those signatures, you find that the vast, vast majority (>95%) are "false entry voided". Now, if the signatures were false and voided, why does the site still count them in the total?

Anyway, the petition has been suspended because the author himself apparently lost interest. Clearly, he didn't find it really offensive.

My chronology is a little messed up, so help me if I screw this up.

I know that The Two Towers is the name of the book, which we all know was written long before the events of Sept. 11th. However, wasn't Peter Jackson also finished shooting the entire three film series by then?
