Renaming the G-word (hint: fighter-mages)

I seem to recall a certain Dragon article that came out during the 2nd edition days which dubbed Fighter/Magic-users "fusers." I think it was an April Fool's issue, but for some reason that term always stuck in my mind.

side note: 'weaksauce' is much older than WoW.

Right. Apparently used by stoners and people who live in the Pacific Northwest. At least, that's what the internets tell me.

I still think it's becoming one of those widespread WoW words. You see how it absorbs our niche culture and profligates it everywhere? I imagine thousands and thousands of WoW players on the other side of the world sprinkling "weaksauce dual-wielding instance-trigger tank" among phrases in their native tongue as they rage hard on PvP servers.

Or something.

I'm so old.

Cheers,
Cam

This is a word you can use right away, and just about everyone would know what you are talking about.

Jedi

The ultimate fighter/wizard.

Weaksauce is a WoW word??? LOL! That's like saying elf is a D&D word....

I think Morrus should censor rhymes with dish here. If the yunguns what to use that kind of language, they can go to the WotC boards.

Jedi is more of a Psychic Warrior IMO.

No one uses battlefish? :(
Shhh! You aren't allowed to say that word unless you're talking about a specific fishyanki armored sword-mage. :p

How about "Mage Knight"? They wouldn't even need to make any new minis for it. ;)
