D&D 5E Reprints I Would 100% Buy (Map Folio)

If you want a reprint, go find the artists website and buy a copy from them. Some you can buy the prints directly from, others you will have to have the map printed at a print shop for you.

You want Schley's maps? Go buy them from his site; http://mikeschley.com/

Mikes maps only cover a portion of the FR, I think the OP wants a reprint/update of the entire continent for 5e.
I know what Mike sells. As I said before, find the artist for the map you want and Google them. Find their website, and if you are lucky, buy what you want from the artist.

All that said, all that old stuff is probably not for sale on any website, and probably never will be. WotC probably doesn't own the license to resell the map outside of it's original product. And the artist probably doesn't have their old stuff up and available. And the demand for it is not significant enough to justify putting such back in production.

Yes we know, you can also ebay the source books and get the original maps. Also, many of the old maps are often found for free online as well but that is not the point of the thread. Telling us to go buy a reprint from a website is not helpful and is just telling us what we already know. That was my point

So what is your point?

WoTC can do it at a reasonable price is also my point. Postage alone on Ebay for me is $30.
Why do you think WotC can do it at a reasonable price? Because if they print 100,000 of them they can get a good price? Sure, if they printed that many of them. But since could only sell 1000 of them so then they just lost money.

My point, in case anyone doesn't get it, is two fold;
1) Just because you want something doesn't make it a good business decision for someone to provide it for you.
2) Just because WotC once published these maps does not mean they have license to use the artwork now or in a new product. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. I suspect they don't even know without digging old contracts out of their archives.

Going by the success of the AD&D reprints a print run of 10k could be reasonable. I don't expect them to lose money.

They could always get new maps made as well and let the artists sell them.

"Could be" But the numbers really aren't the point.
They could always get new maps made as well and let the artists sell them.
And increase their costs? Which would then mean they would have to sell even more of them.

So, I'll leave this discussion with a final thought;
If you want to dream and hope and make public your wishes, then goal accomplished. If you want copies of these maps as they are today, then you/me/others have already given some options. If you hope to sway WotC's business decisions by starting a thread on ENWorld, good luck.
