reptilian humanoid villain race suggestion

Anybody have suggestions for a reptilian race that would make a good LE interplanar warlord devotee of a dragon god. He is going to be a fighter cleric half dragon and I want a quality approriate reptilian base race, the god is an evil god of scaly folk.

I was thinking Raamzadi from Bastion Press' Torn Asunder but as a race they are Good and am back to considering lizardfolk from the srd/MM. I don't want anything as small as a kobold. I thought Complete minions would have a bunch but it turns out most are not reptilian/scaly. The chromithians are too small.

I've got plenty of sources but having a tough time finding just the right one.

Do you have Dragonomicon? Because it sounds like the Dragonkin are exactly what you need. They're essentially Large-sized humanoid dragons. It wouldn't take too much work to make them into Medium humanoids (drop some of the extra HDs and reduce the size and stats a bit), if you want.

I'm kind of biased but I like Asaatthi myself. They can be lawful and they are damn good at being both spellcasters AND decent fighters.

Draconic Githzerai. Bump up their natural armor by maybe 2 more, and tweak their appearance some - give 'em a tail and digitigrade legs, and change the head structure some to make it more lizardy.

When Serpent Kingdoms for Forgotten Realms comes out in a few weeks, we'll get to see the Sarrukh, a reptilian creator race that first bred the Yuan-Ti etc...they might be what you want...

There is a reptilian template in Savage Species, although I notice that this book is not on your list.

Choose a base race that would suit your needs, add the template and you are ready.

Why limit yourself to one race? If it's truly a god of "scaly folk" then have it be worshipped by all manner of reptiles. Have different ones to fit different roles in the army. Have multiple reptile humanoid races along with some snakes, giant lizards, dinosaurs, dragons, etc.

Not really reptiles but I love the slaad. How can you go wrong with angry extraplanar frogs?

Besides there is a wide variety of them in several of the monster books, so they can scale to your PC's.

You might try the Dragonlance Campaign Setting. Draconians and dragonspawn make excellent adversaries. However, any draconian with the half-dragon template will have a very interesting history

Sarkrith from the Fiend Folio are LE, tyrannical, magic hating lizards. Mean buggers.

The Asaathi from CCR are damned mean. I had a DM that used them as enemies over the course of a campaign. I hated them.

The reptilian template from Savage Species could be used to good effect.
