D&D 4E Request for 4e Subforum

I would like to make a request for a subforum for all the 4e topics. As of the time of this writing, there were 7 topics dealing with 4e on the first page of the general discussion area alone.

Generally, I avoid the topics, but it really is distracting when so many of the topics are 4e. I imagine those who enjoy discussing 4e might like to have their own little area to talk about 4e topics.

Anyway, just a humble request. Thanks to our esteemed moderators for their time. :)

Take it to meta.

Anyways, the whole point of the original site was to be a rumourmill for 3e befroe it was out, I can't imagine sidelining the 4e rumourmill.

It is too early for this. If 4E is not going to be announced at Winter Fantasy in a week or so, these threads will gradually peter out. If it is going to be announced than a new sub-forum may be more reasonable, but then almost everybody will be talking about it anyway...

I would agree that it'd be nice if the 4e threads could be shunted off the main page, for the time being.

When there is something to discuss they could come back, but now it's just annoying rumourmongering.

I don't think there's a need for it - yet. Give it a couple of weeks, after D&D Experience, it will have either died down or - if it's announced as many are suggesting - we'll have a major situation to deal with. :)

But for now, we'll leave it as it is and keep an eye on it.

I don't particularly think seven topics out of forty is that bad, considering right now it's a hot button topic. It's not like they're not marked, you can easily just not read them.

That said, if they're all on the same specific topic, they should be merged.

Also, and this is a question for for Michael Morris, is if in ENWorld2 it would be possible to ignore categories.

Fair enough, and thank you for your time.

Also, sorry if I put this in the wrong forum. :o

Will the mods clamp down on people going "so, it wasn't announced" accompanied by gloating? Just so I know how much gloating to put in my posts ... or not put in my posts :]

Anyhow, I'm for anything that keeps the 4e threads down until an announcement has been made. Wasn't Eric Noahs 3e rumour site something which came AFTER the announcement?

/M

What about now? ;)
