:) Hi my name is Chris Groom and I am a student at Lancaster University on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course (email c.groom@lancs.ac.uk). I am doing a study into the effects of online game playing on lifestyle factors and general health in men aged 18-40, which involves filling in some questionnaires. All participation is voluntary and participants can withdraw from the study at any time. If you are a man in that age group who plays MMORPG’s regularly, and this sounds interesting please go to the following website for more details.

Many thanks, much appreciated

This may not be the best site for this, Chris - we're dedicated to pen & paper D&D - but hopefully there is lots of crossover. I'll take it myself.

EDIT - note that the survey code is flawed. Questions 19-21 are contingent, and shouldn't be answered if you said "no" to Q 18, but the page requires them to be answered in order to proceed. As a result, I quit the survey at this point.

Thanks for the tip Piratecat.

I play WOW. I'm not sure if I want to do the survey. I'm a little concerned that since it is health care related, I wonder if they will use it in some way to deny insurance.

absolutely not- its a genuine study in repsonse to anecdotal reports of health problems associated with excessive gaming

thanks
