Return of the Regenerating Undead

I dearly hope that there is some errata for this.

The Pale Master prestige class in Libris Mortis grants immunity to nonlethal damage at lvl 7. (and full undead immunites at lv 10) It does NOT turn you into an undead, and thus you retain your constitution.

Combine with regeneration, and you are immune to damage. (so long as it doesnt bypass your regeneration)

At epic levels, this can be nearly unbeatable (troll pale master = not dispellable) but even at pre-epic levels spells and shapeshifting can grant regeneration.

Granted, there are other ways of removing obstacles than damage, but nothing else in the game comes close to this level of invulnerability.

Let's see.... start with a troll (6 HD, +5 LA) ... and the half-dragon template twice (+6 LA; once for fire, once for acid) 5 levels of Wizard ... and 7 levels of Pale master ... and you have 6+5+6+5+7=ECL 29; CR: 5 (troll) + 4 (Half-dragon twice) + 5 (wizard levels) + 7 (pale master levels)=CR 21; HD: 6(troll)+5(Wizard)+7(Pale Master)=18

And a failed save on a Flesh to Stone spell will totally ruin your day.... but on the plus side, this critter can't be treated as a pile of hit points.

Let's see... base saves:
Fort/Ref/Will
+5/+2/+2 (Troll)
+1/+1/+4 (Wizard)
+5/+2/+5 (Pale Master)

+11/+5/+11 (total)

Stat Adjustments:
Str/Dex/Con/Int/Wis/Cha
+12/+4/+12/-4/-2/-4 (Troll)
+8/+0/+2/+2/+0/+2 (half-dragon 1)
+8/+0/+2/+2/+0/+2 (half-dragon 2)

+28/+4/+16/+0/-2/+0 (total)

And casts as a Wiz 9

CR of your troll is a bit lower actually. The wizard and PM levels are most likely unassociated, dropping it to CR 18.

A more playable version: human wizard/pale master, Shapechanged into a Pit Fiend or Solar, depending on the alignment of your enemy. Or, with the troll version, cast AMF from a scroll.

Well ... there's nothing in the template description of Half-Dragon that prevents it from being applied to a half-dragon (other than rediculousness) ... or a full dragon ... hmm..... that could be ... interesting ...

Cast AM field. Turn yourself into something that regenerates. Can still use magic in there. Profit?
