This place seems a little dead now adays, so here is something that hopefully will get things going again. The 3.5 stats for the Potamotrygon, also known as the Shark Devil. If someone would be willing to write up an intro to it (you know, the cursive text from the MM descriptions), I would appreciate it. Anyway, on to the devil:

Potamotrygons also known as shark devils are nasty aquatic predators that see other sentient beings as little more than food.
A potamotrygon resembles a humanoid cross between a tiger shark and a stingray. Its skin is mostly a sandy brown with gray-green patterns. A shark devil has red or yellow glowing eyes. The beast’s tail ends in a nasty stinger that delivers a powerful copper based poison.
Despite their aggressive natures, shark devils are on good terms with Sahuagin and the two creatures occasionally work together.

Combat:
Potamotrygons usually initiate combat from hiding, using their spell-like abilities to confuse and harm their chosen prey before entering melee. If possible the shark devils attempt to divide their opponents.
Spell-like Abilities: At will – Bane (DC 13), Darkness, Entangle (DC 13), and Sound Burst (DC 14); 3/day – Contagion (DC 15), Dispel Magic, Freedom of Movement, Ice Storm (DC 16), Summon Monster IV, and Wall of Ice. These are as the spells cast by a 9th level sorcerer. The save DC’s are Charisma based.
Poison (Ex): Sting, Initial and secondary damage 1d4 con, save DC: 21
Wounding Bite (Ex): The bite of the potamotrygon leaves particularly nasty wounds. The shark devil deals 1 point of Constitution damage on a successful hit with a bite attack against a creature. A critical hit does not multiply the Constitution damage. Creatures immune to critical hits (such as constructs and oozes) are immune to the Constitution damage dealt by the wounding bite.
Disease Resistance (Ex): Shark devils have a +4 racial bonus on saves against diseases.
Skills: * a potamotrygon gets a +4 racial bonus to hide checks due to its coloration.

No, as a snackrifice. Don't make me use my slurry of blows. ;)

You know, we missed a real opportunity yesterday---with it being International Talk Like a Pirate Day, we should've done some pirate-themed critters.

Those would work, as would...

Graft, Fiendish Peg-Leg
Symbiont, Living Blackbeard
Doom Dubloon
Pieces of Hate
Davy Jones' Lurker

Ever since I saw Pirates of the Caribbean, I thought that the undead that appear living except in moonlight would be fun.
