Return to the Tomb of Horrors

I have seen a Tomb of Horros conversion out there.

HAs anyone done work on Cordell's sequel?

In my opinion this was one of the greatest second edition products ever published. I am currently doing an Epic Level build up to do a Return to the Return and was wondering if there was anybody's hard work out there that I could mine.

I converted it on pen and paper before I had a computer at home, but I'm going to heavily tweak it when I run it here soon. I just found out that the demilich is going to be in the Epic Level book so I'm actually going to have to reevaluate everything come July.

Me too... I've downloaded the ToH conversion and plan on running 'Return' in the relatively near future, but like I said, the Epic Level HB may change my outlook on everything.

Return to the Tomb of Horrors conversion

I will be running this adventure soon, and I am working on converting the thing over to Third Edition. I have from the beginning up to the City that Waits converted, and I found some good monster conversions on the web. I would be interested is seeing how others worked this conversion project. Could anyone send me some of their conversion notes?

Also, I saw the playtest notes on the demi-lich. They will be gross, to say the least. If anyone is interested, I can give you a copy of what I have.

I would love to see what you have.

For the most part, I think my conversion is going to be nightmarishly difficult, due mainly to all of the campaign back story I have to account for.

Basically, in my setting the tomb was never conquered properly. Acerak was stomped, yes, but the necromancers or cabalists, have been living in and around the area for 800+ years now. Every few years, the good guys come in and crusade, but they just can't seem to get rid of the pesky necros.

SO, one thing I have been doing is collecting other DM's mods to the tomb, and stacking them on as if they were built buy different Lords of Skull City over the years.

It has really ballooned out of control, but my players love it, so I keep doing it.

I am getting ready to start converting the Return to the Tomb of Horrors. When I get some of it done, I'll let you guys know. I have to do D2/D3 for my campaign first. D3 is gonna be a statistical nightmare.

Be awesome to see some of that conversion someday!

BTW, all you RttToH fans: Be warned that the 3e (ELH) versions of the winter wight and the demilich are just horrifying; I'm seriously contemplating removing the demilich's ability to cast spells, as I don't think the damn creature needs it!

The Winter Wight, the Demilich, and of course the Umbral blot are going to show up in my campaign, quite possibly with advancements! By the time my players get to those points in the game I suspect they will each be well over 30th level.
