[Rev] Spells Slated to be Revised

Btw, notice also that Ice Storm has been somewhat improved:

Ice Storm
Evocation [Cold]
Level: Arcane 4;
Components: V, S, M;
Casting Time: Attack action;
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level);
Area: Cylinder (20-ft. radius, 40 ft. high);
Duration: 1 round;
Saving Throw: None;
Spell Resistance: Yes
Hail falls for one full round, dealing 3d6 points of bludgeoning damage and 2d6 points of cold damage to creatures in their path. Listen checks made within the ice storm’s effect take a –4 penalty, and all ground movement within its area is at half speed. At the end of the duration, the hail disappears, leaving no aftereffects (other than the damage inflicted).

OK, so it's still a joke compared to Fireball, but every little bit helps.

Just gotta get my .02 in here... Most of which has already been said. :-P

I do not want to see Haste toned down to the D20Modern Version, because its then no better than a 2nd level spell that came out in Dragon 27? caller Rapid Strikes. The spell lasts 1/rd per level and gives the reciever an additional partial action each round for a melee/ranged attack only.

As for Shield, my group doesn't seem to use it so I haven't dealt with the issues, but anything that clarifies what it does & doesn't do will be good.

Well, once again haven't dealt with Harm much so I'm not going to touch it. :-P

What they need is to be fixed, pure and simple. If nothing else, make their favored class ranger and be done with it, for all I care.

Blah blah blah, and furthermore, blah. Yeah, elves really suck -- that's why no one plays them in 3E. Poor little guys. My heart, it bleeds.

Where IS the d20 Modern SRD?

I can't find it on the normal SRD page, and I haven't found it on the WOTC site either (though it wouldn't suprise me if I were blind and am just missing it...).

Well, thanks for stopping by to contribute a totally worthless & boorish comment, troll. Sure, you make yourself sound like a little flaming @sshole, but you've bumped your post count up, and that's what's important in the end, right? :rolleyes:

I'll just assume that I don't need to go into a lengthy explanation as to why giving a wizard longsword proficiency is a lame idea...
Gandalf gets no respect these days... kids, hmpf.

LOL. Hey, what makes you think Gandalf didn't have fighter levels? Heck, the guy used a sword more often than he used spells.

I just hope they don't make the "one subrace minmaxed elf for every class you wish"-idiocy core.

Not that it matters to me - I can ban pointy-eared munchkin-baits in my game - but it would be nice not to see every arcane smackdown started with "sunelf mage...", and don't get me started on elves with strength boni...
