Reverse Engineering the 3.5 Ranger

First Post
I am trying to reverse engineer the ranger class in 3.5 by trying to piece together all that has been officially established about it in these boards.

Can anyone point me to a thread, webpage, or just give me a recap?

So far, the only things I know about it are:

- d8 Hit Dice
- Bonus Feat (Track) + another feat
- TWF no longer available @ 1st level
- Favored Enemy maxes out @ +5

- (6 + Int modifier) skill points per level
- choose combat path @ 2nd level (archery or two-weapon fighting) and a related feat every 4 levels thereafter
- an ability called Wild Empathy at 1st level that lets you effect animals like an Emotion (friendship) spell
- the ability to track while running, with a -10 penalty
- improved favored enemy bonus (a 2nd level ranger in Dungeon was seen with a +2 favored enemy bonus)
- larger and better spell list

instead of giving them spells, they should be spell like abil, or supernat abil. That way, it seems more natural that they affect the wildlife,a nd not command it.
