Grayhawk

First Post
Just saw this at RPGnet.

I haven't read it yet - just thought I'd share the link.

If any of you know of any other reviews of C&C, feel free to link to them here!

I wish they would just get out the full book. I don't care about the boxset. :)

I still have plans to implement feats. :)

I am glad to have bought the boxed set only for nostalgia reasons. However, if the game appears to be really good, to play it I will buy the hardcover books.

Me too.

Hmmm, what is this C&C SRD? Is that something that can be found online?
The C&C SRD is the playtest rules. No, it can not be found online, unless you are(were) one of the C&C playtesters.

I bought mine at Gen Con just for the nostalga value. Don't know if I'll be buying the next set of hardcover books. I'm not interested in antoher d20 variant but if it's solid, I'll have to bow before the might of the system.

I understand the nostalgic value of the C&C box set - but
how is it different that the SRD? Why should we look at it?

The SRD is available only to playtesters.

But the bigger question is whether one should get the C&C box set or simply wait for the more complete (and less expensive) PHB to come out.

It would probably be best for most interested prospective players to wait for the PHB (though, the box set does come with an adventure). But I am an impatient, nostalgia-loving person, and so purchased the box set.

As for the RPGnet review mentioned by Greyhawk, it is annoyingly vague with respect to the rules. (Since I have a pretty good grasp of the basic rules already, based on various threads on C&C that I have read, this did not bother me too much, but the review probably would not be too useful for most people.)
