Review of the Revised Star Wars Core RPG Book

Well, it seems that it's about time for us to start looking for other uses for the Core Rulebook...

How about a paperweight? It's probably too large for that, though.
Door stop? Nah, it's not heavy enough for that.
Bookend? Possibly.
Filing cabinet? You could store your old character sheets in between the pages...
Coaster? That might work.
Fuel for the fireplace? Maybe...

Any other ideas? I might have to start a poll on this once the Revised Core Rulebook is actually released. ;)

*Sigh* It's sad, really. I've had mine for about a year, and I haven't even had a chance to use it. And now I'll need to buy a new one. :(

You don't need to buy the new one. If you are happy with the old one then stick with it, if you are not then get the new one. I understand the complaint of having to spend the money, but so many people complained about the rulebook and WOTC is trying to fix what people complained about and everyone is complaining about that.

Despite the fact that I'm currently unemployed I have managed to get the money together (mainly because I had a recent birthday and was given cash by family and friends) I pre-ordered the book through Amazon. Through them right now the book is only $27.97 + s/h. I pre-ordered mine through the SWRPGNetwork (http://www.swrpgnetwork.com/store.php?type=1) to make sure it helps them some also.

I'd like to know how he scored an advance copy.

Like I've said before, I actually can't reveal that bit yet.

I've caught some flak on the STARWARS-L, which I moderate, for such a positive review, but I really think the book might be one of the best d20 game releases so far just due to how thorough the book is.

I trust on you :)

What is the exact release date?

Then come back when you can reveal that bit and do so. I'm not the only reviewer who'd like to know.;)

They can sod off. You did just fine; after your review, I went to Amazon and pre-ordered a copy. Your review convinced me that WotC fixed most--if not all--of my problems with the game.
