Review Request – Expanded Psionics Handbook

I am looking for a review of “Expanded Psionics Handbook.” Has anyone read it and is it any good? Where can I find some reviews?

My personal review:

I love it. It makes Psionic classes on par with the rest of the Base classes, which they really weren't with the original book. Some people feel that certain powers are heavily unbalanced, but on the majority the classes are very well done, and would mesh easily with any party, unlike the previous book.

It is a great improvement over the first book. First, the powers are often individually augmentable, by spending more points on them. Second, psionic combat is done away with (the various attack/defense modes are made into powers).

Not a huge fan of ECL+ races, but there are a lot of pc races added.

So overall I feel I got my money's worth.

The only bad thing about it: that is wasn't like this the first time around.

Mindscapes/Hyperconscious is a must, though, IMO. Psionics needs psionic combat AFAIAC.

The XPH has psionic combat, it's just not a seperate system. A telepath hits you with a mind thrust attack - you respond with a thought shield. A mind flayer tries to mind blast your party - you manifest a tower of iron will to protect everyone. Etc.
