That was my theory too, Joe. Might as well make the most of the avenues that the medium opens for us.

And Crothian, I spoke up myself, no worries. :)

I think you are best off acting exactly as you have regarding soliciting material. But I will note that James at RPGnow is thinking of setting up a Staff reviewer system, that you might be interested in...

At risk of having you get the job ahead of me... ;)

Crothian:
I have sent you many of my products, and I have received about 3 stars on average. Although I tend to receive higher rankings from other reviewers and other websites (average 4 stars), I have to say that I do think your reviews are fair.

If there is one thing I could hope for in the future, are more in depth reviews. I personally use reviews to better determine how to improve my products, and I think it benefits everyone to know what aspects of a book he or she likes and dislikes.

To every one else:
I encourage all publishers to send their products to Crothian for reviews.

Crothian!

Pick me! Pick me!

Seriously, I had a copy of Animal Archives: North American Animals sent to you. I eagerly anticipate your review.

P.S. When we met at GenCon I was totally wiped from the one-way 12 hour drive. Sorry you had to catch me at a low moment. : )

Its okay, with people staying up late and long drives many were not at there best. I do have your pdf and its on the list to review. I'm hoping (cross fingers) to get plenty of time this week to really get through some of these.

Here's a random thought and it would be by no means a requirement. But If some publishers could send physical copies of PDFs along with the electronic one it would be useful. I can't always print things out and I don't have a laptop. So, my reading mostly happens at one place. It's nice to have a copy I can carry with me and read when I'm out of the house.

Chris - while a great idea, I think it will seriously delay the usefulness of reviews for larger e-publishers. We are aiming for reviews as soon after release as possible, waiting to also send out a physical copy will add to the delay, unless it would also put the product in question to the top of your review pile. :)
