Considering the lira has not been used for a year, you might want to look at the yen or... whatever buttons the Chinese buy their groceries with.

Currently, Italy uses the euro, which was worth about 1.1 dollars, last time I checked.

Oh, and by the way, yes, they're worth it. Every cent.:D

You're confusing the late Italian Lire with the Turkish Lira, common mistake though.
