Ashardalon is looking reeeeeeally mean by now...

The way it should have been from the start. Finally they remembered that Red Dragons can choose from the cleric spell list.

I am not too happy about that DR thing though. X/adamantine or x/- would have fitted a bit better, IMHO (not neccessarily at the same high numbers though).

Hmm, I created a feat a few months back which was very similar to this called "Sweep"...

Heres the new red dragon. Is it true a sorcerer can use heal as a 6th level spell? Or is this only special to dragons? That'd give my sorcerer something to smile about alright. Either way it sucks when the dragon has like 5 castings of that

A number of dragons have access to cleric spells for their sorceror casting lists. The red dragon is one of them. They've had this in 3e too, and prior to that many types had both cleric and wizard caster lists in 2e anyway.

Heal only heals 10*casterlevel hitpoints per spell, so its 130 points for the dragon. A determined group can deal more than that.

Still handy to have though. If I was DM'ing a dragon with that spell, I'd make damn sure it withdrew when damaged to heal itself back up again and come back at the aprty with full strength once more. Useful for hit and run tactics and suchlike in particular.

Hmm DR /magic, heh, guess Dragon DR is now totally irrellevant.

It always was. By the time anyone chooses to fight a dragon they almost always have a weapon or two to breach its DR.

I foresee that old dragons in my game are going to end up with DR 5/adamantine, to illustrate their steel-hard scales.

Meh. At that level, a determined fighter can do more than that in one round. Add in three more folks, including a spellcaster or two, and it's an extra round...if the dragon's LUCKY.
