Rich Redman, one of the founding members of The Game Mechanics, has accepted a position in the licensing department of Wizards of the Coast, where he has been working as a contractor for many months now. Accordingly, Rich has resigned his position as vice-president and general manager of The Game Mechanics. Rich posted this message to The Game Mechanics website:
[bq]Dear TGM Fans:
On Wednesday, January 12, 2005, I received a job offer from our former employer, Wizards of the Coast. For a number of reasons, I chose to accept that job, and my first day as a salaried, full-time employee was Thursday, January 13. While that's great for my family and me, it does mean that I can no longer be a corporate officer for The Game Mechanics.
I remain a friend of JD, Stan!, and Marc. I will always be a founder of TGM. I certainly hope to continue writing for TGM as a freelancer. I will try to continue attending the weekly chat sessions. The change in my employment should really have no effect on you, the TGM fans and customers. I just thought it was important that you hear about the change from me.
Thanks, and good gaming!
Rich[/bq]
We here at The Game Mechanics wish Rich all the best.
