Riding a Horsey!

My books are coming on Monday, but I can't wait.

If I'm a human on horseback, in 3.5 do I threaten the 12 squares around me with a normal weapon? Do I threaten the 20 squares around that with a reach weapon?

Yes. You and your mount share the same space, so effectively when you get on a horse you go from a 5' space to a 10' space.
