Do riding dogs require exotic saddles?

I think the answer is "no". The example of requirement for an exotic saddle, PHB p. 113, is "such as a pegasus". I believe all the mounts actually available in the PHB are non-exotic.

No - a normal saddle, albeit smaller than for a horse.

I'm pretty sure that only aminals (spelled incorrectly on purpose) with a) wings, b) spikey backs, c) arthritis, d) and wierd fungi growing on them need special saddles ...
