Riding Lizard Cohort Level Adjustment

I'm contemplating a Paladin Special Mount Cohort of a FR Riding Lizard (see the FRCS for stats).

So what kind of level adjustment would you give it for the whole walking on walls thing? Any? +1? +2?

I think it would be even more interesting if your character was the awakened riding lizard with paladin levels.

Maybe you could have a cohort dire ape rider for your "mount".

Actually, I run the game. Its for a player that plays an Aasimar with drow heritage. He is wanting a Cohort Special Mount, so I'm trying to come up with something a drow warrior would ride. Thus the riding lizard. Now to figure out how to convert it 3.5 (I.E. Level adjustments) and go from there.

How about a riding lizard? Seriously its an established FR drow mount. And as a non-follower of the spider queen (I mentioned he was a paladin right?) the thoughts of a spider mount are pretty much not really appropriate.
