Is there a default range for rituals?

What did you have in mind that isn't covered by bag-of-rats?

I'm wondering if, for a ritual that lists no range, there is a default value that should be used.

Last night, for example, I wanted to use a Knock spell and was curious as to whether I needed to be up touching the door. I then wanted to create a hallucinatory item and needed to know if I could create it some distance from myself.

Even if rituals have a range of zero by default, I'd like to find where that is discussed in the rules.

I couldn't find anything... but I'd go with touch, and targets needing to be unattended, willing, or helpless.
