Robet E Howard day

First Post
This blog says that all of the REH panels are on saturday (http://www.rehupa.com/?p=93)

But the gen con website has the seminars on Thurs, Fri and Saturday

Anyone know which is right

Here is a brief description of the seminars

Channeling Robert E. Howard: Adapting and Creating the Worlds of an Icon: Join key creative individuals who have helped shape and bring to life the legacy of Robert E. Howard with an emphasis on writing. The panel discussion, followed by a Q&A session, will include Mike Stackpole, author of an all-new series of books chronicling the story of Bêlit, the Queen of the Black Coast; Loren Coleman, author of a trilogy titled Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, and Matt Forbeck, REH scholar, editor, game designer, and author. (Indy sez: Mike Stackpole’s a bud from way back, a former REHupan, great writer and all around good guy. A “Bêlit” series is news to me, but I’m actually looking forward to finding out about it. I guess if we’re gonna have Howard Pastiches, “Make Mine Stackpole!”)

The Worlds of Robert E. Howard as explored through RPGs: Howard’s creation of mythical lands and heroic warriors are perfect fits for the modern RPG community. Join members from three established role-playing-game companies discuss the process of turning Howard into gaming magic. Panelists will include Bryan Steele, Vincent Darlage, and Eric Rodriguez from Mongoose Publishing, the publisher of the successful Conan RPG, Shane Hensley, CEO of Pinnacle Games, the publisher of the brand new Solomon Kane RPG, and Charlie Krank, President of Chaosium and currently developing Robert E. Howard’s World of Horror RPG. Moderated by Bill “Indy” Cavalier, editor of the Robert E. Howard United Press Association. (Indy Sez: I’ll also be presenting some History on Howard’s Influence on the creation of Dungeons & Dragons, the RPG that started it all! It’d be great if Gary Gygax & Dave Arneson showed up!)

A Historical Look at Robert E. Howard: A unique opportunity to learn about an American literary legend from some of the world’s foremost Howard experts. Lecture followed by Q&A with Paul Herman, Secretary and Treasurer of the Robert E. Howard Foundation, Bill “Indy” Cavalier, Indiana’s own editor of the Robert E. Howard United Press Association. (Indy Sez: I hope Paul lets me get a word or two in! Har!)

Robert E. Howard in Comics: Q&A with editorial members from Dark Horse Comics, creator of the award-winning, best-selling Conan comic series and currently developing additional series based on the works of REH, including Kull of Atlantis, Solomon Kane, and Pigeons From Hell. (Indy Sez: This should be interesting! Malcolm, uh — Morgan — got any questions you want me to ask?

Heh ... I'm not sure Bêlit is actually interesting enough a character to warrant a series, but there's only so many times you can publish new Conan books without it getting a little silly I guess. Especially if you're trying to keep a continuity.

Still, wish I'd known a while back, it would have made me a lot more interested in going to GenCon!
