Robin Hood (S1 13/13) A clue: No

First Post
Season ender and pretty good plot, and bit of tension

Robin definitely a Scout 14 i have concluded....manyshot and move...manyshot and move.
DJaq looks the part with the TWF broadsword/shortsword combo
Marion looked 'comely' as the bride
Shot/rope trick at the end pretty OTT, even for this series
Could have picked a better tree for robin to sit under and contemplate (assuming it was the 'major oak' in Sherwood forest)

end leap in the air / final shot a bit naff

will watch next series

Too much story for not enough time, especially in the last five minutes. I had expected them to end on a three-way cliffhanger, when Much realised what was going on.

Still, a very good episode to end on, and I too will be watching the next season.

I really liked that they didn't back off from the 'angry Robin' we saw just at the end of the previous episode. Though I was a touch annoyed that he only took his anger out on the mooks, when two well-placed arrows... well, I guess they would have ended the series prematurely.

Oh, and I really like the fact that this isn't quite the fun adventure story of derring-do it pretends to be. Scratch the surface, and it's really not a happy series.

What on earth happened at the end? M girlfriend and I can't figure it out. Something to do with a bow and rope, and some rebounding, and a weight.... seemed pretty silly to me.

Ahh nuts I missed this. Okay can someone please tell me how Marian survived her death at the end of the previous episode? Not all that bothered about the rest of the episodes plot, I'll catch it on repeat at some point I'm sure, but I just have to know how that cliffhanger got resolved.

She.. uhhh.... just wasn't really dead. They stood around, looked depressed for a moment, and then someone said "Hey, she's breathing!"

I think they said that the doctor (not Jack, the 'town' doc/informer/betrayer) had given her something with hemlock in it, and it had looked like she died when she hadn't. I would have liked them to kill her off, not really because I dislike the actress or character, but because shows never seem to do this much. Robin could have gotten a lot 'grittier', and Guy could have twisted his guilt into hating Robin more (cause she was emulating him, and that's what got her killed - not his own fault of course).

Not a bad episode though. I too thought he should have taken out the Sherrif and Guy (especially Guy/traitor/killer of his love) at the beginning - what was the Sherriff doing that close to the action when he knew he would be fighting archers?

Did this series change much from the first episode? That's the only one I watched, and it didn't inspire me to watch any more. But then that happened the first time I started watching B5, and it ended up becoming one of my favourites!

Yes, night and day. The first episode was rubbish. The second episode was still pretty bad, but was a huge improvement. The third episode was acceptable. By episode five or so, the show had become the highlight of my TV-week. There was a lot of good stuff in there after the rocky start.
