Robot Chicken creators play on WotC vidcast

They hinted at this awhile back.

I was hoping it was the people from Big Bang Theory or Vin Diesel. I have no idea who Robot Chicken is or what they do. They sound vaguely anti-PETA, which I suppose can only be a good thing :D

Robot Chicken does sketch comedy but using stop motion animation with plastic action figures and dolls instead of live action. They often employ celebrity voices and Seth Green (who played Dr. Evil's son in the Austin Powers movies) is the main producer, writer, and voice actor. Though it doesn't look like Seth is in the video podcast.

Robot chicken is hilarious. Here is one of my favorites, a sketch based on Star Wars:

Yea, corporate conference rooms are the bomb to game in.

I left that all behind... now the company has a folding table and folding chairs in a storage/machine room for conferences.

The good side product is that the meetings tend to be short.

I also would LOVE to see two DM's run the two parties through some dungeon in some sort of competition... with the occasional PVP.

Reg: Robot Chicken in 4e D&D

So far;

Kevin Shinick is running a Goliath Barbarian named Kai Nuq Sin,

Dan Milano is running a Human Wizard named Jaundice the Mauve,

Doug Goldstein is running a half elven Bard named Steel Diamond who appears to eithr have no strength bonus or is under the influence of an early Wheaton problem with adding weapon prof bonus to strength bonuses to attack,

Tom Root is running a Drow Ranger named Bluebell and I think he's hilarious!

Zeb Wells is running Ranrock who is a warforged but I don't know what class except he might have a strength of 20 given his +5 damage bonus to melee attacks.

Anyone else been trying to deduce things about their characters?

Still amusing so far but I'd like to see that next pvp podcast "live" those maps look great!

Edit: Never mind what I wrote here. I just realized it was someone else's PC who was the class I thought this was.

However, is this the guy that has a -4 to his acrobatics checks? If so, even if he has dex as his 08 score (for -1) he is probably wearing heavy armor and/or shield to account for that extra -3 in there. So that puts it as some sort of defender class like fighter or something since few classes have heavy armor proficiency by default. Either that, or it's a nonstandard array nor pointbuy that he started with.

It occurs to me that they missed an opportunity. It would have been really cool if they were in a DarkSun adventure.

While it would have been cool for us (ie current D&D players - i know I would have liked it!) remember that these are all mostly first time RPG players (only 2 of the 5 said they'd played RPGs before, and one of those 2 said it had been many years since he played). So sticking to a more standard fantasy setting probably makes it easier for those unfamiliar with it to understand what's going on. At least that's my guess.
Also, timing wise, I'm guessing that this was recorded months ago so they probably hadn't hammered out enough of DarkSun to feel comfortable putting it on a video for the world to see the unfinished work..

I wonder if there are plans for an upcoming Robot Chicken episode based on the game?

I know it's been a long time since I saw Robot Chicken, but I recall they had a recurring skit/gag a few years ago that was this one guy who was always in his basement playing D&D. They'd have him in different situations, as a recurring sort of thing. So maybe they'll do more with him if they haven't already.
