Rod of Sure Striking

Hi,

I dont have Races of Wild, can someone tell me if the Rod of Sure Striking works on
the user as well as his adjacent allies?

Sort of. Every adjacent creature gains the benefit, friend or foe... And the wielder is out of luck, since the benefit ends at the beginning of its next turn.

When the rod is activated, every creature adjacent to the wielder gains a +10 bonus on its next attack roll, provided that the attack occurs before the beginning of the wielder’s next turn. Any attack that occurs after that point does not gain the bonus. The rod is usable three times per day.

4,000 gp, works three times a day. An excellent toy for any familiars (or boguns) who are generally humanoid in shape. If it weren't for that, it's not too bad since it costs an action. The availability of unskilled lackeys kinda kills it though.
