Roguish Killer

There's a certain amount of debate whether a feat/etc that says "You can X when Y" means "You are not prevented from doing X when Y" or "When Y, it makes you immediately capable of doing X": Basically, does it say:

"If you could do X except because it was Y, you can do X"
or
"Because it is Y, you can do X, even if you can't for another reason"

There's another question here, for instance.. if you are not wielding a light blade, sling, or crossbow, can you use Roguish Killer?

I hesitate to make a decision here, but it's an interesting question.. does "can when" trump "can't" or does "can when" only trump "can't when"

I think you hurt my brain.

That question is easily answered:
SA has a restriction on weapons you can use it with. Does the feat specifiy any change to that rule? - No, it doesn't - therefore, you can't use roguish killer with a fullblade or any other weapon that is not a light blade, sling or xbow.

As written, all roguish killer does is bypass the need for you to hit to get your sneak attack damage. It'd need to declare if it got past sneak attack's requirements...
y'know, weapon, combat advantage, 1/round (or encounter)... must be a rogue power if you're a hybrid... etc.

Pretty lousy feat without houseruling or just assuming some text into there that may well be missing.

Pretty much this. I see nothing that would let it work the way you want it to, Kzach. All it does is give you a way to use your Sneak Attack on a miss, instead of a hit. Everything else stays the same.
