role-playing focused magic items

Hey I want to start an evil aligned Old School Hack campaign, but first I need some ideas for magic items, I really liked from OSH basic rules that many magic items doesn't have a direct implementation on battle, they are role playing focused. So, could you help me with some items like that?
e.g.

RING OF TRUTHINESS
Anyone wearing this ring is obligated to tell the truth, no
matter what.

BELT OF DWARVENKIND
While wearing this belt, the wearer is forced to be nice to
dwarves. Whether they’re nice back is up to them.

In 1st edition there were many items like this. For example in the Keep on the Borderlands there are bowls in the Temple of Cyric that turn you into a worshipper of Cyric, and a large tapestry that forces you to chant hymns to Cyric. I thought that my players would dislike things that take role playing decisions out of their hands, but in truth they had a great time running with the role playing cues I gave them, and even went above and beyond what I actually described as the influence upon them. However if you do that I think you have to make sure the players have lots of chances to make saves against the effect or recover from it, so that ultimately it's treated more as an interesting interlude than the equivalent of the death of their original character concept (unless of course the player decides that's what he wants and doesn't care to succeed any saves to resist the effects).
 

I think that the problem with asking other people to come up with such items is that every campaign is different, and these things depend on the players and the setting.

However, a few things my PCs have really liked:
1) an intelligent, cowardly sword. It was always shrieking and whining, begging to leave the dungeon, etc...

2) a bunch of small, pseudo-mechanical spiders that repaired, maintained, and operated a loom that could weave beautiful tapestries. They all had fabric woven to make cloaks to wear to court, and such. One PC was always looking for rare thread to "feed" them.

3) an invisible campsite attendant. He only appeared when they pitched their magical tent, and then he tried to boss them around about "bringing mud in on my clean floors" and such. They tried once to get him a date with a house-brownie!
