We haven't even thrown him from top of the Statue of Judgement yet! Open your mind and broaden your perspective for this week's Judge Dredd & the Worlds of 2000 AD update, then join us as we take a ride on one of the fairground's most terrifying attractions. It's time to take a ride on the Helter Skelter!

In last week's blog post, we rounded out some pretty awesome scenarios that can be found in the pages of The Day the Law Died supplement. There are always plenty more adventures to be had in Mega-City One, however, especially if you'd like to include some dimension-hopping alternate reality shenanigans. Running from progs 1250 to 1261 of the weekly 2000 AD, the Helter Skelter story line saw alternate dimensions collide and some of Joe's greatest enemies come together in a combined attempt to finish him off. All bound by the 'leadership' of Chief Judge Cal.

Experiments in dimension jump technology, which the Judges had first become aware of thanks to the predations of the Dark Judges, led to the establishment of a 'Warp Lab' mandated to produce results and finalise a prototype. Messing with the veil between dimensions caused alternate realities to bleed into each other, which led to Dredd's old nemeses returning. Including Cal, who soon took to reasserting his control over this dimension's Justice Department. Needless to say, it was a pretty terrifying time for the citizens of Mega-City One, with Nort troopers, Romanian vampires, and even Satanus rampaging through the streets.

Much more than an exposition of the Helter Skelter story line, however, The Return of Cal chapter explores any number of ways for the devious tyrant to make a return in your games. From clones and robotic counterparts to vampiric infusions, this chapter offers plenty of scope for scenarios and even campaigns that can see you face off against Chief Judge Cal in timelines beyond that of the original The Day the Law Died's year of 2101. As an added bonus, this chapter includes an entire scenario inspired by the events in Helter Skelter. Just watch out for rampaging tyrranosaurs!

That's a wrap for this week's blog post. Tune in next week as we take a look at the final chapter in The Day the Law Died: Allies and Adversaries.
