Hmmm, too general - you could spin out at least a dozen crappy products!

A Dozen Crappy Magic Items
A Dozen Crappy Weapons
A Dozen Crappy Helms
A Dozen Crappy Horses....

The Auld Grump, just trying to be helpful.... :p

You're too good. :)

One of these days I'll write "A Dozen Big-Ass Swords." That will be crappy.

Picked up A Dozen Hazards, not bad. Some I had already used (given that they are hazards endemic to a city this is not surprising). And one I will be building into a chase scene for my IK game.

Would that be the funeral procession?

Yep, though with some fairly massive changes:

The funeral is in the Protectorate, for a highly influential member of the church, a steamjack is positioned at both the front and rear of the procession as an honor guard.

The folks who the PCs are both following and fleeing from in turn belong to the Menites. two of the persons being chased are likely to attempt to hide in the procession, the other two will split off, while the folks hounding the PCs are trying not to announce their presence (the PCs don't know they are being chased yet....)

Sounds like it could turn into a running battle.

If all goes as I plan about half the party will continue the chase, while the rest end up in battle with the group that is following them (allowing the agents who are trying to blend in with the procession to escape, or splitting the party even further in order to keep up with them....)

If all goes horribly, horribly wrong they may end up doing battle with one (or possibly two, as a worst case) of these:

How did this turn out for you?

The party actually ended up splitting in three - with one group of three remaining with the bulk of the folks they are following, one group of two dealing with the folks following them (luring them into an alley, knocking 'em out, and stealing their clothes...), and one lone character following the funeral procession to the end. He then followed the agents hiding in the crowd to the hand off, then following the agent that the papers were handed off to.

While the chase stayed fast and furious with the first group the pace of the one PC chase was decidedly leisurely. He was the one who found where it was hidden, and sent his familiar off to get the others.
