Mine has arrived.

It's VERY pretty, Phil. I was stunned by the weight of the paper stock (excellent, heavy, very white) and the interior quality is excellent. The cover looks great. The binding appears to be identical to most PoD perfect-bound editions, except for the hardcover stock. However, the inside sheets of the binding (ie: inside of cover, and the first 'protective / binding' sheet before the book contents proper) were not placed perfectly, making the book mildly wonky-looking when opened. This is most certainly a side-effect of the small-run hardcover process, and doesn't diminish the value / quality of the book in any way except from the perspective of shopping for binderies for my own works.

What is the weight of the paper, Phil?

Honestly, with this in hand, I can definitely see doing limited hardcover print runs of Elements of Magic (compiled with LA) and perhaps Steam & Steel.

Wait, if Hellhound in Ontario got his then mine may have cleared the stupid border as well. Must check mail and think positively for the rest of the day.

Yeah, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the endsheets but they were close. I'm hoping the the printer will improve as I do more of these.

Some were 60 lb. and some were 80 lb. It sounds like you got one of the 80 lb. copies.

Some important news I'm trying to digest. The printer, feeling like they owe me for their delays in finishing this project, just notified me that they shipped me a new batch of hardcovers. I don't know how many but I now have a problem.

I've already signed and numbered a dozen copies. What should I do with these new copies? My plan was to make this a very limited run (it still is, but not as limited) so should I throw these extras away or go ahead and sell them? Sign them but don't number them?

Any suggestions?

Make money, Phil! Feel the call of the dollar!

When we bought them, we knew they would be limited editions, but we didn't know how limited. I'm sure most of us expected you to sell more than a dozen total.

I would not number them (since our original 12 are numbered out of 12), but definitely sell them if you can!

Harcover playtester copies?

Never mind. Sell them, sign them, but don't number. That way we can still call ours Limited Editions.
