[Ronin Arts] Planar Factions now available! (Updated)

Well, the assumed tech level is high medieval with alchemy--IOW, D&D standard.

That said, it would be simplicity itself to modify the Shapes for Victorian play, especially given the inspiration for creating them. You see, the entire point of the Shapers was to bring an equivalent of the Freemasons (only with actual magics) into D&D. :)

That was what I hoped for :) I'll have to buy this PDF now. The other organisations sound cool too and filled with great roleplaying opportunities!

There are sample NPCs for a few of the organizations, but not for all. In many instances, I felt it more appropriate to focus on other aspects for the mechanical/"crunchy" part of the entry.
Thanks for the information.

Hey, all. Just so you know, the individual PDFs are now up and available. Obviously, we hope you'll want them all, but if you're only interested in some of them, you can now buy them piecmeal. :)

And, the first review is up on RPGNow, from Jeff "D20 Books" Pawlowski. 5 out of 5 ain't a bad way to start. :D

(Disclaimer: As Jeff says in his review, we're friends IRL, and part of the same Thursday night gaming group. Trust me when I tell you that Jeff feels no compunctions about being honest, and telling me if he doesn't like something I worked on. ;))

Just out of curiosity, I've got a question for any of you folks who are purchasing or planning to purchase any or all of the Planar Factions...

Are you planning to use them in a planar campaign, or do you intend to use them in a "standard" setting as otherworldly factions operating on a single world? I'm just wondering, partially for my own edification, and partly because it may influence what I do with future ideas in the same general arena. :)

I intend to use them in my planar River of Worlds game.

I would very much like to hear how that goes, when you have the chance.

Were you, by any chance, planning to do a review of Planar Factions? You certainly shouldn't feel obligated, and I don't want to come across like I'm trying to push you into doing so. I know you've probably got a ton of stuff waiting for you to review it, so please don't hesitate to tell me if you aren't planning on it; that's absolutely fine. If you are, though, I'd love to see your feedback--positive and negative both--on the book as a whole. :)
