TRIPLE VOTE ROUND!!

After eliminating only 3 this round (with another 3 just scraping through) and in the interests of getting down and dirty with the top 10 soon as we can I’ve decided to go with a TRIPLE VOTE Round (and no, you still can’t vote for the same feat more than once.) Good luck and choose wisely.

a little variety

Heighten Spell, because I still think metamagic as currently implemented is a waste, and because a second-level spell being cast as a fourth-level spell is never as good as an actual fourth-level spell so why should I waste a feat slot to be able to do it?

Craft Wondrous Item, because of all the item creation feats, this one is the weirdest. "Wondrous Item" is a blanket term for any magic item that doesn't belong to one of the more common categories. Since as a group they're defined only by *not* being a bunch of other things (wands, potions, etc.), it's absurd that a single feat would work for any of them. So your level isn't high enough to forge a ring of XYZ? No problem, just make it a bracelet instead, there's a totally different feat for it, you can take it sooner, and the bracelet can still be treated exactly like a ring that happens to be a bit large for a single finger.

Improved Shield Bash, because it occurred to me when I was browsing through the list that I've never seen anyone try a shield bash, with or without this feat. A feat that makes you better at something you never do anyway doesn't have much point. (See also: Improved Bull Rush. Maybe another time.)

Greater Spell Focus...C'mon, does anybody use these?
Greater Spell Focus? You mean the feat that every self-respecting enchanter or illusionist will take at first opportunity and that many other casters (transmuters, necromancers, etc.) find almost as essential? Improving spell DC's is hard. It's also important.
Heighten is a decent feat for that same reason.
