RPG Advertisement Help!

I hope you take this criticism in the spirit it's intended! :D

I really, really don't like the original ad.

It reminds me of the RIFTS ads that used to be in Dragon. While the ad was chock-full of good reasons to use RIFTS, the ad itself looked unpolished and unprofessional. While it certainly doesn't need to be some sort of multimillion dollar, slick presentation, it should look clean.

TRW's edit is better, but it still looks like a garage-band flyer (not that there's anything wrong with that, if it's the aesthetic you're looking for).

Where is this ad going to be run?

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I’ll print this thread out and work on the ad this weekend.

Blargney, the accent in the name has always been there. I don’t know why the game’s creator added the accent.

Patryn, I’m fine with the criticism. I’ve been married 7 years, so I’ve grown used to it. ;)
In all seriousness, I thank Harn holds value for gamers. Since it usually only travels by world of mouth, many have not heard of it, but I know it made my life easier when I started dropping in pre-made Harn villages, etc. into my d20 campaign and I think it is important to share the free resources to GMs & players so that they have access to this high quality work that they can use in their games.

Do people have suggestions for where to place this ad? What ads do you read and use and what magazines and web sites do you visit?

Harn is/was such a great series of supplements. The ad brings back lots of great memories. I wish I had more space in my zine, or I'd run the ad for free. I like Harn that much.
