Here is a collection of recent news items and releases.
  • :maps: Jonathan Roberts, cartographer for Kobold Quarterly, Sunken Empires, and The Breaking of Fostor Nagar, presents another Fantastic Map: "The Watchfire Keep".
  • :pf: The free e-zine Pathways continues with templates, new monsters, feats, and reviews all bundled together with an interview with Ben Mcfarland.
  • :4e: New at the World of Farland: a new chart depicting the heights of the playable races of Farland; a new feat, Vengeful Victim; new fiction, Many Motives, One Destinatio.
  • :rpg: You can check out two previews for Clockwork Gnome's Sailing the Starlit Sea, which is a space-based setting. The first preview is The Major Planets of the Seren System, and the second is The Moons, the Shattered Wanderer, and Other Celestial Bodies of the Seren System.
  • :pf: The CR 15 Star Drake is a free monster for Pathfinder from the Kobold Quarterly folks.
  • :3e: Necromancers of the Northwest has published a free CR 12 doppleganger assassin named Roxrin.
  • :4e: This week's Foursaken Feature introduces the Man of Many Faces paragon path for 4th edition characters interested in changing shape.
  • :rpg: Nard Rage Games has officially released Supplement 1 for the Rage Series, their game system which requires only a single d20 to play and covers sci-fi, medieval, and modern genres. It is now available for PDF download in a Bundle Pack with the entire Rage Series.
  • :3e: This week's From the Workshop features two new bloodlines for shape-shifting sorcerers: doppelganger, and lycanthrope.
  • :pf: Rite Publishing has released Evocative City Sites: The Crossroads for the Pathfinder RPG. You can grab it from the Paizo store here.
  • :pf: Mark Chance's son and fellow gamer Christopher "Giant Boy" Chance starts high school this September via a college-prep program designed to be largely directed self-study. Of course, he needs books, which means he needs money for books. Over at Paizo, all Spes Magna PDFs go on-sale for 25% off from 19 August through 4 September. The proceeds of all sales during this time will not be dedicated to only Giant Boy's book fund, but also to Our Lady of Walsingham's Institutes of Catholic Culture Studies.
  • :rpg: Rite Publishing has set up a prelaunch website for its upcoming kickstarter project The Demolished Ones FATE based adventure. It is a steampunk, noir, victorian quest for identity in the strange world of The Dome.
  • :rpg: The creators of Villains & Vigilantes, Jeff Dee and Jack Herman, have filed a federal copyright lawsuit against the game's longtime
    publisher Scott Bizar.
