Magic in Salmichael is not made to impress. It is made to last.

Azukail Games has made their new system-agnostic supplement, 100 Laws for a Fantasy City, available for just $0.94 for the next week! Click on the link to apply the discount.

In a fantasy setting, there are still going to be laws, and these can be a result of the differences between a regular setting and one with fantastical elements. This has 100 laws that could be used for a fantasy city, though some may work across an entire nation. Some may seem nonsensical or difficult to enforce, but characters may still fall foul of the law if they fail to obey them.

This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier.

Here are some sample results:
  • Thatch roofing is prohibited and slate or clay tiles must be used instead.
  • The city has an official religion and all residents must observe it, even if they worship another deity as well. No restrictions are placed on other worship, as long as they don't conflict with the official religion.
  • The consumption of many animals who would normally be considered to be food animals is prohibited as they are classed as intelligent beings, though ones with limited rights.
  • The height of buildings within the city is controlled; no building may be above a certain height and taller buildings are reserved for those with higher positions.
  • The sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the city.
