RPG Veteran Mark Seifter to Join Roll For Combat as Director of Game Design for the Battlezoo Line of Products for both Pathfinder 2e and 5e
New York, NY (January 10, 2022) – RPG veteran and designer of over a hundred RPG products, Mark Seifter, has joined Roll For Combat as the Director of Game Design for the Battlezoo line of products.
“I am extremely excited to work on the Battlezoo line as Director of Game Design. I’ll be sad to leave Paizo, but I’ll be staying in touch with my friends and colleagues at Paizo for further freelance work, and directing the Battlezoo line was just too exciting an opportunity to pass up,” said Mark Seifter.
“We have so many amazing ideas in store for you at Battlezoo. Monster parts and dragon ancestry are just the tip of the iceberg! Other than Battlezoo Bestiary: Strange and Unusual, which will draw from RPG Superstar 2021, the rest is top secret for now, but I’ll be telling you more about it soon!”
“Mark is a true legend in the RPG community and having him join the expanding Roll For Combat team to lead our line of Battlezoo role-playing products is a dream come true,” said Stephen Glicker, publisher of Roll For Combat and the Battlezoo line of products.
“Mark wrote the Monster Parts system for Battlezoo Bestiary as well Battlezoo Ancestries: Dragons, where you can play one of 45 different dragons as a player character, and the response for both products was overwhelmingly positive. The opportunity to bring Mark onto the team full-time to allow him to continue to develop unique products in the ever-expanding Battlezoo line of products for both Pathfinder 2e and 5e was something we couldn’t pass up.”
Starting January 24, Mark will direct the Battlezoo line of products, with a particular eye towards the game design, quality, and balance of every offering in the line. He will also become the Head Judge for the RPG Superstar 2021, Strange and Unusual contest, which provides the opportunity for anyone to submit a new and unique monster creation to be judged by both the public and professional industry writers for publication in a future hardcover rulebook.
The Battlezoo Bestiary: Strange and Unusual, which will have over 150 unique monsters for both Pathfinder Second Edition and 5e, is expected to be released later in 2022 and will be helmed by Mark, along with several additional unannounced products.
