Just signed up to become a community supporter. One of the listed benefits of doing this is "RPG". I've found links to the other benefits (e.g. search, customized title, etc...) but not this one. What does "RPG" refer to in this instance and where do I find the link? I'm sure it's right in front of my nose.

First of all, thank you for being a community supporter!

For a while we were running the Inferno Forum RPG software. (It's basically a "grow your character and fight AI's and other forum characters in an arena type of game.)

Currently I believe it's disabled due to the new server move. As for future plans of the software, I cannot say for certain, because I'm not privy to it. As all the new server functions get stabilized over the next couple of months, we may well re-install it -- but I have no knowledge of it at this time.

It was uninstalled for lack of use - plus it's tables had to be dropped to uncorrupt the database.

It was fun at first, but then I somehow lost my community supporter status for a while and when I got it back my rpg character was gone... it had taken me a while to amass some levels and gear, it was quite a bummer. :\

That reminds me.

I discovered a week or two before the move that you didn't have to be a Community Supporter to play RPG. You just had to be a Registered User. It must have been a side effect from the software upgrade they did in preparation for the move.

So I registered two aliases so that their RPG characters could duel: their names are Borlon and Trinoc.

I feel slightly guilty in taking two names that are not going to be used for posting. How should I go about having their registrations deleted?

I just reinstated my Community Supporter account, and I for one would really like to see the RPG back at some point. I really enjoyed it when it was there but let it fall by the wayside when I couldn't afford to renew my account.

Eh, no biggie. There are thousands of unused accounts. We don't usally delete accounts...
