RPGA tips?

I'm thinking I'll try a wizard with spells from Dragons 374 & 381, though I'm a little worried that in a pool of people trying to put together viable parties, controller might not be a high-demand role.

I've played a wizard through the majority of my LFR convention experience, and never had trouble finding a game. Generally speaking, once a group has found at least one each of Leader, Defender and Striker, they'll be flexible on what else they take, and a Controller (or two!) can make a lot of difference in a six-person party.

I can definitely say that, of the half-dozen or so characters I've played in LFR scenarios, my wizard has been by far the most enjoyable experience to play.

Whether or not that's the case, the campaign managers have already stated that the hybrid rules will become legal on January 19th in a post on the RPGA board.

Interesting... that post also says that the update will include hybrid Artificer rules. I wonder if there will be any other changes from the Dragon playtest version.
