This isn't a spoof, it's a re-creation. The Mythbusters finally had to resort to using two tracked APCs before they could pull apart the interleaved phone books they were using in their exploration of the Myth. Even then it was a failure of the paper in the books that ripped apart. The join didn't fail.

Technically it could be either. We had good fun doing it with Hackmaster books. What we did was far from scientifically rigorous. The Myth Busters Method was far more professional.
