RPGfreelancer.com: Is this still a thing?

I initially posted offers to do artwork in several projects there, but was very disappointed in the lack of feedback. I'd sometimes get an email saying the job's posting had expired, but never anything about if someone was hired, or the person just changed their mind, or forgot about the posting, or what. Nothing from any of the people posting asking for more info, etc. Nothing saying if anyone was ever chosen, nothing even saying I wasn't chosen but thanks for offering. There's just...nothing. Every offer I submitted might as well have been consumed in a void, so I stopped posting offers.

I suggest having some kind of a way for editors to message or email the artists, to let them ask questions, discuss things, etc, and something that says "This job has now been filled by X, thank you for submitting your offer", etc. Even a form letter is better than nothing at all.

I would like it to be a more happening place. The general forum is genuinely creepy wth its lack of posts. I'm reluctant to use it, because a lot of the site doesn't seem to work as advertised, but on the other hand, my first attempt at muddling through it seems to be going okay. Apparently, though, I'm a couple of dollars in the hole in Paypal charges for transferring a money balance that I won't actually be able to use to pay the artist. I wish I had known that up front.
