RPGnow = RPGmissing?

Basically what happened is someone highjacked our UDP and was making out going attacks from 2 of our 4 servers. So our host company simply unplugged the boxes and forced us to use new hard drives. Oh, did I mention they charged us for this privilage?
Wait...you get attacked, and you have to pay for it? I don't understand the logic of that.

Oh, that' happens so much in doing online business it doesn't even phase me much. We had to pay to put a new harddrive in the machine since they wouldn't let us continue to use the old one. Then during an update of the OS on the RPGShop.com site, our SSL went down and we had to pay again for a new format. Gezzz. Cost us about $95 is fees and hundreds in lost business. Some customers even got very made at us and said they'd stop shopping with us. What joy.

Credit card companies are worse. I've mentioned this before, but in the case of fraud there you pay the fee up front for them to process it, only to get hit with another $30 fee when they find out it's fraud and charge you back. Some jerk pushed a $3400 charge through once, lost $77 just on VISA's processing fee alone. No one can do anything - no one askes who the card is supposed to belong to - no one cares, they just stick it to the small businessman every time.
